Since we got online in 1992, we have seen entrepreneurs
racing to sell their products and services
over the Internet. Online competition for consumer dollars has created an exploding
marketplace,
a dizzying array of choices, and a host of potential questions for Internet shoppers.
We have been looking for a way that allows consumers to rate e-business for reliability,
privacy
and customer satisfaction since 1994.
Internet shoppers are empowered to make confident buying decisions.
BASIC STANDARDS:
1.Site Integrity. The site provides products, services or information they stand
behind.
2.The site must be fully operational at the time of technical review.
3.The site must be easy to navigate.
4.There must be a clearly defined privacy policy for information collected
5.There will be no "trap doors" that might disable the Back or Home button or
the browser.
E-COMMERCE WEB SITES (Sites selling anything)
6.Disclosure of contact e-mail, physical address and telephone number must be
clearly identified on the site.
7.Clear pricing. Prices, including taxes and shipping, must be clearly
indicated.
8.Confirmation of Order. The Web Site Operator must provide confirmation via e-mail
within 48 hours.
9.Fulfillment notification. The Web Site Operator must notify consumers within 7
days of any orders taking longer than advertised.
10.Return policy. A return policy with return address must be clearly stated on the site.
Refunds must be processed within 30 days of receipt of returned product or completed
refund claim.
11.Web Site Certification will mediate consumer complaints. Web Site Operator agree to a
complaint-resolution process.
The Web Site Certification Award is granted only to
sites that adhere to the applicable criteria described above at
the time they are reviewed by Web Site Certification.
Web Site Certification makes no other representation or express or
implied warranty or guarantee as to the content of the sites or
products which may be described or sold on them.
NOTICE to Web Site Owner: THIS IS A CONTRACT.
BY DISPLAYING THE ABOVE AWARD YOU ACCEPT ALL THE TERMS AND
CONDITIONS OF THIS AGREEMENT.
WE grant to you a license to use the above award, provided that you agree
to the following:
1. Use of the Web Certification Award.
You agree to handle all complaints from your site within (7)
days
When we notify you of a complaint, we provide you seven (7) days to justify what actions
you had taken to correct the complaint from your site, and we retain the right to
revoke your use of the above award if the complaint is not properly corrected.
You understand that misuse of the Web Certification Award in
violation of this agreement may result in additional legal penalties.
2. Terms
We retain the exclusive right to verify customers or visitors remarks in regard to your
site.
3. Copyright.
The Web Certification Award is owned by Randolph & Associates. The Web Certification
Award is protected by United States Copyright Law. You agree not to modify, adapt or
otherwise attempt to misuse the Business Certification Award.
Use of our Award is limited only to identify your site as a quality site for surfers
In accordance with accepted trademark practice. Such use of any certification trademark does not give you any rights of ownership in that trademark.
This Agreement does not grant you any property rights
in the Web Certification Award.
4. Governing Law and General Provisions.
This Agreement will be governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina, U.S.A.
If any part of this Agreement is found void and
unenforceable, it will not affect the validity of the balance of the Agreement, which
shall remain valid and enforceable according to its terms.
This Agreement may only be modified in writing signed by Debbie Randolph
You indicate your acceptance of the foregoing Agreement by using our Web Certification
Award on your Internet site .
